Have more questions about CHKIDS ministry?

  • Our CHKIDS Team consists of many faithful volunteers who have been interviewed, trained, and who have passed background checks. Additionally, we have a dedicated staff who love kids and love teaching them about Jesus!

  • We have programming on Sunday mornings throughout the year and on Wednesday evenings during the school year. We also offer lesson videos online each week.

Additionally, we have special events throughout the year for kids and families, including camp, retreats, an annual Christmas party, and Vacation Bible School! We'd love for you to join us for weekly programming and at any of our special events!

  • We provide children’s programming during the Main Worship Service @ 10:30 am. This is when our adults are worshiping together.

We also provide children’s programming during the Sunday Bible School hour (9:00am) and Wednesday Night Programming (6:30pm - 8:30pm).

  • All in our main building of College Heights Christian Church! (4311 E Newman Rd Joplin, MO 64801)

We share our building with College Heights Christian School, so there is plenty of room to spread out into classrooms, playrooms, the gymnasium, etc! We have a secure space where only staff & qualified volunteers are allowed. We will help lead you & your family to our designated check-in locations when you arrive!

  • The goal of our children's ministry is to glorify God by helping children grow in their knowledge of and love for Jesus. Through age-appropriate teaching and fun activities, we want to create an environment where kids love learning about Jesus! He is the focus of all we do and His Word is our guide. Of course, safety and cleanliness are priorities for us, as well, as we seek to provide an atmosphere of excellence and joy for our children.

  • We take seriously the opportunity to equip children and families to love and serve Jesus. We use "The Gospel Project" curriculum for toddlers through 5th grade and seek to equip families to engage in the lessons at home. We offer "Fridge Friends" each week, which are pages you can place on your refrigerator (or another noticeable spot in your home) that showcase what we're learning. We also have activity pages with age-appropriate and engaging activities for the various age groups. For Pre-K/K and Elementary, there are family activity ideas and discussion questions listed on the pages, as well. Make sure you pick up these pages each Sunday. We encourage you to take every opportunity to grow in Jesus together!

Our babies learn about Jesus, too! Through the hands-on "Palma Smiley" curriculum, we teach our youngest CH family members who Jesus is and we tell our babies of His great love for them. Each week, our babies "pat the Bible" as they learn to love and respect God's Word.

If you choose to keep your babies with you during service and they become fussy or in need of care, we have a "Family Room" located near the center entrance of the Worship Center and a Nursing Mothers Room located in the southwest hallway of the Worship Center. Feel free to utilize those areas, but please know we'd love to have your little ones join our programming!

CHYouth Church has:

  • Faithful, prayerful volunteers

  • Meaningful discussion

  • Space to ask hard questions

  • Fun games & activities

  • Age-appropriate Bible study

  • Christ-centered community

  • Middle school is one of the most important developmental times in a person's life. Kids are starting to figure out foundational aspects of their identity, asking BIG questions about life and faith, and have such an important need to belong to a solid church family. We aim to provide a solid faith community for students to discover who they are in Christ. Students are ready to branch out and develop their own faith and form relationships with godly adults. We want kids to have a radical and foundational aspect of the gospel, and to love Jesus in everything!

  • High school is a time to ask tough questions, and often, to make big decisions. Students are taking some of the most important steps that they’ve made in life up until this point, and that’s true for their faith as well. Now is the time when students begin to take a hard look at a personal relationship with Jesus. We believe that, as a ministry, we should be a Christ-centered resource for questions, a connection point between students and godly, prayerful leaders, and a source of relationships that always point to the truth of the Scriptures. In these formative years, we prayerfully strive to help students establish a foundation of faith to last the rest of their lives.

Sunday @ 10:30

We’ll see you there!
