September 27

How is the Great Day of Service different this year? This year College Heights will be serving in our communities in our neighborhoods. We want to passionately share the love of God to our neighbors and build relationships with those that we come into contact with frequently.

How do I get involved with my neighborhood group? Look at the You Are Here map in the atrium and find where you live. Each neighborhood has a Neighborhood Connector and their contact information is posted on the map. Contact you connector and find out where you can serve!

What time does it start? Meet at the church at 9:15 for a short worship service together before we head out into our neighborhoods.

When will it be over? Each neighborhood will be different this year based on the projects that are chosen and where they will be meeting for lunch together as a neighborhood group.

Will there be a lunch this year? Each neighborhood will have their own meal celebration together. The place and time of this lunch will be decided by each group.

What kinds are projects are available? There are so many ways we can serve in our communities including serving in local agencies, nursing homes, bringing cookies to those in your neighborhoods, helping a neighbor with a project such as lawn care or painting, serving your local school, etc.

Do I need to fill out a registration form? A liability form will need to be signed to be able to participate. These forms will be available in the atrium or through your Neighborhood Connector.

Can my children serve with me? Yes! We highly recommend you to allow children to be involved for the sake of learning to serve the community. Each neighborhood group can decide on what project works best for you family to be involved in.

Is there any cost involved? Do I need to provide any of the supplies for my project? There may be tools needed for the projects that your neighborhood decides to do. Ask your neighborhood connector what tools you will need for the job and how you can contribute for the lunch.

What if I have other questions? Contact your Neighborhood Connector or Contact Wendy Dean at the church office 624-6915 ext 361
