Discovering Justice: The Beginning of Justice (Isaiah 59)

Broken people break society, and broken society breaks people.

These questions are meant to challenge you in each of our Four Commitments: PRAY, SPEAK, GROW, LOVE. Use these questions to further explore the message.

Pray: Where have you seen broken people experiencing injustices because of their own sin? Where have you seen a broken society and broken cultural systems breaking people? Pray and ask the Lord to have the same compassion that he has for them, to see them with his eyes.

Speak: How have you not used your tongue to speak out against injustices around you? What does it look like to do this in a loving way, knowing that when you speak out against sin you will always make people upset?

Grow: What do you think of when you hear the word "confession?" Does it leave a bad taste in your mouth? Why so? What area of your life do you need to confess your either contribution by commission or omission towards injustice?

Love: Broken people definitely have responsibility for at least a portion of the hell on earth that exists around them. How do you love them as Jesus loves them?

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
