This coming Sunday, May 20th, is Graduation Sunday at College Heights Christian Church. Here's what we're doing, and what you need to know to participate:
At each service, we will ask graduates to stand where they are so we can cheer for them and give them a short charge. Then we'll ask the people around them to put hands on their shoulders and we'll pray over them to "send them out" as they embark on this next phase of their lives.
So all you need to do to be a part of this time is to show up at one of our main services this Sunday! That's it!
If you still have questions, there's a short Q&A below. We're looking forward to praying over our graduating seniors this Sunday!
Questions and Answers About Graduation Sunday
Should they wear their cap and gown?
Graduates can wear their caps and gowns if they want, but are not required to do so.
Do graduates go up to the stage?
No, we will not have the graduates go up to the stage. We want the friends, family and others around them to lay hands on them and pray.
Do I need to fill out a form?
Nope! All graduates need to do is be at one of the main services.
Is there going to be a printout of all the graduates and their future plans?
We are not going to have a printout. If you see graduates who stood up, and want to know their plans, we encourage you to ask them!
What if I have other questions?
