SPARK: Focus on God

THE SERMON

Sy Huffer, Lead Pastor, shows us how a quest of faith exposes the questions of fear but then helps us see the world through God’s eyes.

A lot of times how we FEEL about going is what keeps us from going.
— Sy Huffer

THE QUESTIONS

Use these questions to further explore the theme of the message:

Pray: Spend some time praising God for how BIG He is. Finish these phrases in your prayer time: “God you are_____” and “God you have _____”. Meditate on how BIG He is as Creator and Savior.

Speak: Do you feel too small for the role God is calling you to? What lies do you believe about your identity, capacity, and ability? Speak these lies out loud to your community, your spouse, your pastor so that you can bring the lies into the light of truth.

Grow: How do you think God wants to grow your faith and dependence on Him? Is your commitment to SPARK a commitment that is easy or can only be done if God is helping you?

Love: How can a greater dependence on and a bigger view of God impact how you love those close to you and those near you?

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!
— Ephesians 3:20-21
