Jeremiah: Shattered No More

July 30, 2017

Sy Huffer, Lead Minister, demonstrates that though hope rarely seems rational in a fallen world, hope is foundational to restoration with God.

Use these questions to further explore the theme of the message:

Pray: Does your heart break for the things that breaks God’s heart? Sin is a serious deal, yet on this side of the cross it can feel so light and soft. Ask the Lord to reveal to you the weight of your sin and the reality that you are a sinner in need of a Savior.

Speak: Who have you hurt because of your sin? What does it look like for you to follow the moaning of Ephraim, to accept discipline, return to the Lord, repent of your sins to the person you offended, confess to them your sins, and be sorrowful for what you did?

Grow: What area of your life needs to be brought back to the Lord?

Love: Although we need to take sin seriously, that doesn’t mean we have to punish ourselves or hate ourselves because of our sin. Jesus tells us to love our neighbor as ourselves. That first means we have to love ourselves. Do you love you? (Not in an arrogant way, but in the same way that God loves you in spite of your sin.)
