THE DRIVE HOME QUESTIONS
Use these questions to further explore the theme of Sunday’s message.
QUESTION 1: PRAY
What problems from your past do you need to invite God into? What do you need to confess to the Lord so that he can become the hero of your story?
QUESTION 2: SPEAK
Who needs to hear this message of grace? Who do you need to tell the story of Jacob to this week?
QUESTION 3: GROW
Who do you need to forgive– even if it is a family member or a friend–of their past faults and failures?
QUESTION 4: LOVE
What does it look like for you be a blessing to your family? How can you point your family to the hero of your story?
One of our commitments as a church is to love like Jesus loved...and that can start with something as simple as a meal. Friendship Families are needed for the 50+ new international students soon to arrive at MSSU! Host a student for a meal once a month or semester and help them experience life in America as you learn about another culture! For more information, text 417.291.7433.
The Hero of your story is the one who fixes the problems of your past.
When you let God be the Hero of your story,
you move from sinner to saved,
from orphan to adopted,
from exile to chosen
from lost to found
from dead to alive
from old to new.
