Advance by Fighting From a Place of Victory

THE SERMON

Sy Huffer, our Lead Minister, preaches about fighting our battles from a place of victory. Engaging the battles of life looks a lot different when the victory is already won.

THE SCRIPTURE

JOSHUA 6:1-5

Now the gates of Jericho were securely barred because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in.

Then the Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men. March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams’ horns in front of the ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets. When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have the whole army give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the army will go up, everyone straight in.”

FAMILY FEST is next Wednesday, October 26, 6:30 – 8:00 PM. FamilyFest is an event for the whole family with games, hayrides, food, and lots of candy! Wear your favorite costume (non-scary). We are asking each family to please bring a large bag of candy to the gym that night. We will be offering hotdogs, chips, and a drink during the entire evening for a small donation which will support one of our community partners, Maranatha Bible Camp. Don't forget to invite your neighbors!
